In order for communication to be effective … it should be clear, stimulate the senses, be communicated with passion, and have a point. These components will make your message memorable and engage your audience. Click here for my Effective training tips. In order for Feedback to be effective the recipient must be able to hear it, and act on it.

Your words do not carry as much weight as your body language and actions. We have 5 senses, remember to stimulate more than 1 sense to make your message memorable. Nobody cares what you say, unless your body language, the images your words create, and tone are saying the same thing… If someone tells you they are excited but their shoulders are drooped and their voice sounds bored – which would you believe – Their words or their bodies?

Use your body and brain’s natural process to work in your favour! Discover the way your body and mind can be your worst enemy or how you can turn them into your strongest ally. By creating strong positive Emotional Pictures in a fun way you can utilise the amazing power of your mind to succeed beyond your wildest dreams. Remember how quickly you learned while playing as a child? Discover for yourself how to change the fun way.

The image is simple but conveys ideas and emotion. We are visual in nature, we relate better to symbols and stories than dry facts. Is your communication clear? Does it evoke emotion? We buy (ideas and products) emotionally and justify the purchase or buy-in intellectually. Think of your house … was that an emotional or intellectual purchase?

So why these Dolphins as the logo?

The story of the dolphins
In late 2002 I had the ghost of an image in my mind I could not shake. I painted the image in oils, my first (and only) oil painting. It was a picture of a single dolphin, a simple line drawing to symbolise the power of simplicity, the emotions of freedom, joy and delight. I was very happy with the result.

I showed the picture to my son, Gabrial, who was 3yrs old at the time. He said it was nice, but the dolphin looked lonely. I took another look and realised what he saw. I thought about the image, what it was supposed to symbolise and added another dolphin to the painting. My son told me the second picture was much better. He said they looked “happy”. The honesty of a child.

What we can learn from this : we each see the same image/idea in different ways. Feedback gives us perspective and enables us to improve our communication skills. This image of dolphin synergy has become the symbol of the work I do. Creating clear communication and engaging the listener through stories, symbols and the emotions they produce. Through balanced feedback we can create clear messages that stick with our audience.
